1. Services Offered

KL Tint Studio provides automotive services, including:

• Window tinting
• Ceramic / graphene coating
• Paint Protection Film (PPF)
• Vehicle wrapping
• Combo protection packages

Service details, pricing, and warranties may vary by package and branch.

2. General Terms

• All products sold are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
• Customers are advised to check the vehicle immediately upon collection.
• Any disputes or claims related to the service must be lodged within 7 days of the invoice date.

3. Appointments & Bookings

• Appointments are subject to availability
• Booking confirmation may require a deposit
• Late arrival may result in rescheduling or extended service time
• Walk-ins are accepted but not guaranteed

KL Tint Studio reserves the right to refuse service if the vehicle's condition is unsafe or unsuitable.

4. Pricing & Payments

• All prices are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM)
• Prices may change without prior notice
• Promotional prices are time-limited
• Payment options may include cash, card, and installment plans

Full payment must be completed before vehicle release unless otherwise agreed.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

• Deposits are non-refundable once service preparation begins
• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance
• Refunds, if applicable, are subject to management approval

Custom services (PPF, wraps, special films) are non-refundable once materials are prepared.

6. Window Tinting

Original Invoice Requirement

The original invoice must be presented for all warranty claims, inspections, or dispute resolutions. KL Tint Studio reserves the right to reject any claim or dispute if the original invoice is not provided.

JPJ VLT Compliance

KL Tint Studio always recommends and advises customers to install tinted film in accordance with the JPJ VLT (Visible Light Transmission) requirements. If a customer chooses a VLT specification based on their own preference that does not comply with JPJ regulations, KL Tint Studio shall not be held responsible for any summons, penalties, inspection failures, or other actions taken by JPJ, PUSPAKOM, or any other relevant authorities arising from such non-compliance.

JPJ Compliance & PUSPAKOM

KL Tint Studio installs tinted film in accordance with the JPJ VLT specification stated on the invoice. However, some vehicles are equipped with factory glass that has its own level of tint, which may cause the overall VLT to exceed the permitted limit.

If a vehicle fails a PUSPAKOM inspection or the owner is instructed to remove the windscreen or front window tinted film due to the overall VLT reading of the original glass and tinted film combined, KL Tint Studio shall not be held responsible, provided the installed tinted film complies with the JPJ specification stated on the invoice.

Customers may bring the vehicle together with the original invoice for VLT verification. If our testing confirms compliance with the invoice specification, KL Tint Studio accepts no liability for any inspection failure, removal, summons, or penalties arising from the vehicle's original glass VLT.

• Tint is applied on interior glass surfaces only. Minor imperfections (dust, bubbles, light haze) may occur during curing. Visibility may be slightly affected initially. Existing defects on glass will remain visible.
• KL Tint Studio is not responsible for electrical or electronic issues, including sensors or tint-related interference, and has no liability for pre-existing damage.
• KL Tint Studio shall not be held responsible for any damage to the rear windscreen heater lines (defogger lines) or any glass heater elements.
• For any warranty claim or tinted film replacement, the existing tinted film must first be removed. If the rear heater lines are damaged, lifted, or detached together with the original tinted film during the removal process, KL Tint Studio shall not be liable for such damage, as the condition of the heater lines cannot be determined prior to removal.

7. Coating

• All coating maintenance services are strictly by appointment only and must be booked through our official website. Maintenance appointments are not available on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.
• Coating is applied on paint surfaces only. Existing defects (swirls, scratches, stains) may remain unless corrected. Coating improves protection and gloss but does not prevent all damage. Regular maintenance is required.
• KL Tint Studio is not responsible for improper aftercare or pre-existing paint issues.
• For optimal coating protection and long-lasting results, complimentary coating inspections/maintenance are recommended every 4 months. Failure to follow the scheduled maintenance may affect the validity of the coating warranty.

8. PPF & Vehicle Wrapping

• KL Tint Studio is not liable for watermarks, water spots, mineral deposits, or environmental staining on PPF, coating, or vehicle surfaces. Proper vehicle maintenance and timely cleaning are the owner's responsibility.
• PPF is applied on exterior painted surfaces only unless stated otherwise. Minor imperfections (dust, bubbles, lines) may occur, and existing defects may remain visible after installation. PPF protects against light wear only, not all damage. Edges may lift over time and may require maintenance.
• Removal of colour wrap or PPF is not included in the invoice and will be charged separately. Paint condition is beyond our control. KL Tint Studio is not responsible for any paint lifting, peeling, or damage during removal, especially on repainted, weak, repaired, or aged surfaces.
• Wrap is applied on exterior surfaces only. Minor imperfections and visible edges may occur. Existing defects may show through wrap. Edges may lift over time and require maintenance. Removal is not included and may cause paint damage, especially on repainted or weak surfaces. KL Tint Studio is not responsible for such damage or pre-existing issues.

Wrapping — Replacement & Colour Match

• In the event of accidental damage (chargeable repair) or a warranty replacement, KL Tint Studio will replace the wrap using the same colour code and material originally selected by the customer, subject to availability.
• The appearance of vehicle wrap colours may naturally vary over time due to weather exposure, maintenance, ageing, or manufacturing batch differences. As such, KL Tint Studio does not guarantee an exact colour match with the existing wrap and shall not be held responsible for any colour variation resulting from these factors.

9. Warranty & Coverage

Warranty terms vary depending on service type:

• Tint: bubble, peeling, performance coverage (Selective Packages only)
• Coating: gloss, hydrophobic performance (as per package)
• PPF & wrapping: material and installation defects

Warranty does not cover:

• Accidents, misuse, or abuse
• Improper washing or maintenance
• Natural wear and tear
• Third-party modifications

Warranty claims must be supported by proof of service (original invoice required).

10. Vehicle Condition & Liability

• Customers must disclose existing damage before service
• KL Tint Studio is not responsible for pre-existing defects
• Personal belongings should be removed before service
• We are not liable for delays caused by weather, power issues, or unforeseen circumstances

11. Intellectual Property

All website content, including:

• Text
• Images
• Videos
• Logos and branding

are the property of KL Tint Studio and may not be copied or used without written permission.

12. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Misuse of website content
• Submit false information
• Attempt unauthorized access
• Disrupt website functionality

Violation may result in legal action.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be resolved under Malaysian jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

KL Tint Studio reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our website or services indicates acceptance of updated terms.
